Romans 12:9-13
"Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor; not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer, contributing to the needs of the saints, practicing hospitality."

We're Home!

I am so glad we are home! It has been a crazy couple weeks but we are adjusting and getting on a schedule....He is a doll and we've been eating up every minute.
We had an appointment with the pediatrician on Monday to follow up from the hospital and his lungs are healing well and he's even gained 4 oz above his birth weight! Usually they just try to get them back to their birth weight by then so we were surprised to hear he is now 7' 14"! Everything else has checked out fine- however we will still not be able to take him out at all really for at least a month because he can't get sick- so I've just been enjoying him at home and happy to see visitors every now and then :)
I want to say thank you again for all the prayers- we can't wait for everyone to meet him.
Getting ready to leave NICU- We were so excited to see him with no monitors attached!
The NICU nurses taking him to the car in his "chariot" :) He had accumulated alot of stuff!

Family of three! Finally leaving!

Wednesday Update and More Pictures

Wow- it is hard to find time to update! We've been so busy between being at the NICU for feedings...coming back to the hotel and eating just to run back up for the next feeding. So we apologize for not returning some messages...we don't have phone service in the NICU.

We just wanted to give a quick update...Chandler is making progress every day and there is a POSSIBILITY he could go home on Thursday!!! Everything is looking well as far as his latest tests and he's eating like a champ.

I can't priase God enough for his faithfulness and sustaining us during this time. Its definitely the most emotional thing I've ever been through-its been hard having to get up and go right after having a baby but God's given me strength and I am so excited at the possibility of bringing him home. He is beautiful and it is so hard leaving him every time.

Here are some other pictures..some of them are older as you can see his oxygen is still in along with the tube in his mouth. The latest ones are when I've gotten to hold him to feed :)

This boy looks exactly like his Dad as far as I can see!

THANK YOU THANK YOU for all your prayers- Pray everything goes well for Thursday!

-Lindsey

Monday Update

I am pleased to say that this is getting easier and Chandler is improving. His white blood cell count is up and and the oxygen has been taken off. He's still on his IV for antibiotics for the pneumonia and there is still air showing in the lungs, but he looks better every time we go. They even let me feed so I get to hold him for a little while :)

We've been blessed to stay at a hotel across the street so we can be there to feed. I could not imagine going back and forth right now. God has been so faithful to us- we are so blessed by this little one.

We both thank you so much for all the phone calls, food and visits! - we feel so loved and its just so comforting.

Continue to pray for improvement-

Proverbs 16:4 "....The Lord has made everything for his purpose.."

He's growing and teaching us that everything comes from above. We gain our strength solely from him. He is our comfort, He is our sovereign Lord.
Love you ALL!
Lindsey
